CURRENT CLASS SCHEDULE:
The following classes are geared for ages 7 through 12. Those 5 and 6 years of age who show particular interest and focus will also benefit.
All classes stand alone or can be taken in sequence of 3 or full session of 12.

Apr. 30 An Island All My Own (3D Focus)
May 07 Spin Garden (Learning from the Masters: Damien Hirst*)*Hirst deals with many themes and imagery not suitable for the age and scope of this session. This will be a highly edited and age appropriate exposure to the artist; taking inspiration only from his series of spin paintings (the ones with kiddo friendly titles).
Classes are 2:30 to 4:30 p.m. on Fridays.
Drop-ins are welcome, although class sizes are limited, reserving a spot ahead of time is recommended. To reserve for a particular class, sequence or session email Counsel at contact@counsellangley.com with your request. You will receive a confirmation when your reservation is set.
I will follow the Port Townsend School District for snow emergency closures.

Single class/drop-in
$15 Half-Pass: 6 classes
$80 Full-Pass: 12 classes
$150 Accepting cash, check, money order, or any major credit card via PayPal secure payments.
A note about materials:
For now I am not asking for an additional materials fee and want to keep it that way.
However, access to high-quality materials and tools is a must for a truly rich art making experience. These materials are costly, but well worth it.
Please, donate now to help ensure that students are getting the materials they need at an accessible cost.
All donations will go towards materials to be used exclusively in classes for students 18-years and younger.

The above schedule reflects what I am currently offering. Soon I will be adding classes and events for other age groups (including adults!).
I am also available to make visits to schools, classes, organizations, homeschool groups etc. And, I welcome your ideas for additional classes, private tutoring, portfolio development, college application consultation, events, parties, happenings, workshops . . . you name it!

Counsel Langley is an actively exhibiting painter with a strong arts education orientation. She holds a BFA, from Massachusetts College of Art and Design, Boston (1999). Her work has been published in several select book projects and is held by Seattle City Light's Portable Works Collection. In addition to her art practice she is a frequent volunteer in support of youth, arts education projects, and musicians and serves as a commissioner on the Port Townsend Arts Commission. She currently resides in her childhood home of Port Townsend with her husband and two daughters.
